About the Role We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL DBA to join our team, responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and integrity of our databases. The ideal candidate will have experience in PostgreSQL, strong SQL optimization skills, and knowledge of ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to optimize database performance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize PostgreSQL database performance using various techniques
• Develop and implement backup, recovery, and migration strategies
• Design and implement ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
• Collaborate with product, platform, and engineering teams to ensure database alignment with business goals
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership to junior team members
• Develop and maintain solid data modelling and database design architecture
• Monitor database performance using tools like Datadog or similar monitoring tools
• Participate in database migrations, development, and upgrades
• Ensure database security and integrity

Requirements

• Experience with PostgreSQL databases
• Strong knowledge of SQL optimization techniques
• Experience with cloud databases (AWS or Azure)
• Solid data modelling and database design architecture skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with table partitioning
• Knowledge of MSSQL performance tuning, backup, recovery, and migrations
