About the Role We are seeking a skilled Sr. ETL Developer to design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows using IBM DataStage. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with DataStage components and strong knowledge of key DataStage stages. The role involves collaborating with data architects, business analysts, and compliance teams to ensure accurate and timely data flows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop ETL workflows using IBM DataStage to support AML data processing and reporting pipelines.
• Optimize DataStage jobs for performance and scalability in large data volumes.
• Read and interpret detailed data mapping documents and functional specifications to develop new DataStage jobs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job failures, performing root cause analysis and documenting resolution steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data flows are accurate, complete, and timely.
• Contribute to improving existing ETL frameworks and participate in code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL blocks used within ETL workflows.
• Coordinate with the AML compliance team to ensure data integrity and regulatory reporting requirements are met.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation for all developed and modified ETL jobs.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with DataStage Designer, Director, and Administrator components.
• Strong knowledge of key DataStage stages, including Transformer, Aggregator, Join, Lookup, Sort, Sequential File, and Oracle Connector.
• Ability to optimize DataStage jobs for performance and scalability in large data volumes.
• Experience with query performance tuning, explain plans, and indexing strategies.
• Familiarity with Oracle database administration basics in an ETL context.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star and snowflake schema design.
• Experience handling Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs) and ETL best practices.
