About the Role This role specializes in creating, maintaining, and optimizing streaming applications for Apple platforms, focusing on high-performance video delivery, user engagement, and monetization strategies. The role oversees teams delivering and supporting over-the-top and Connected Devices. Success in this role means effectively leading teams to deliver high-quality applications across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee teams that deliver and support over-the-top and Connected Devices like Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android-based devices, Smart TVs, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, QA, Product, Product Research, Design, Program Management, and others to develop execution plans and execute projects.
  • Work on high-performance video delivery, user engagement, and monetization strategies for Apple platforms.
  • Deliver and support streaming applications for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and other connected devices.
  • Develop execution plans and execute projects as part of an Agile team.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure quality software delivery.
  • Integrate REST API and API with mobile or connected TV apps.
  • Work with Github, git flows, and CI/CD tools for project management.

Requirements

  • Develop iOS or tvOS applications with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Build mobile or connected TV applications with 10-12 years of experience.
  • Work with Swift, Kotlin, or Brightscript with 3+ years of experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-location engineering teams with 3+ years of experience.
  • Apply knowledge of Mobile and OTT application frameworks such as MVC, MVVM, RxJava, RxSwift, SwiftUI, Combine, etc.
  • Bring multiple Mobile, OTT, and Connected device applications to market via various deployment methods.
  • Work with Agile methodology and deliver quality software as part of an Agile team.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Github, git flows, and any CI or CD tool is beneficial.
