About the Role We are seeking a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines. The role involves working with Azure Synapse, Tableau, and other Azure data services to deliver insightful solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data transformation, aggregation, and visualization, and will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and related Azure data services.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data transformation and aggregation.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse or lakehouse environment.
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and analytical reports to visualize business metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insightful solutions.
  • Implement data governance, quality checks, and performance monitoring across ingestion and transformation layers.
  • Automate repetitive data processes using Python, Spark, or other scripting tools.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for data security and privacy.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • Have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
  • Possess proven experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Have a strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.
  • Have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or other big data platforms.
  • Be proficient in Python or Scala for data transformation and process automation.
  • Be familiar with version control, CI/CD, and agile development practices.
  • Possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Have experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
  • Have knowledge of cloud architecture design patterns and cost optimization on Azure.
  • Be familiar with machine learning pipelines or data science workflows.
