About the Role We are looking for an experienced DevOps Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and deployment strategies across multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with various cloud platforms and tools, along with a solid understanding of security, scalability, automation, monitoring, and governance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can architect reliable DevOps solutions while collaborating closely with development, QA, security, infrastructure, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools and technologies such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Architect and manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster setup, scaling, deployment automation, and troubleshooting.
• Optimise caching and content delivery strategies using Akamai to improve application performance, availability, and end-user experience.
• Manage and automate deployments across Linode and other cloud environments.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or similar platforms.
• Monitor system performance, availability, security, scalability, and reliability across production and non-production environments.
• Collaborate with development, QA, release management, and security teams to streamline deployment processes and reduce release cycle time.
• Define DevOps best practices, architecture standards, automation frameworks, and deployment governance models.
• Implement robust logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, Datadog, New Relic, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security, compliance, governance, cost optimisation, and operational excellence standards.
• Drive automation for build, deployment, configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and environment management.
• Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and high-availability planning.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and development teams on DevOps practices, cloud-native architecture, automation, and operational maturity.

Requirements

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Have equivalent professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure architecture, or platform engineering.
• Possess certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (DevOps Engineer).
• Have strong experience in DevOps architecture, cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and CI/CD implementation.
• Have hands-on experience with at least two major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Have strong working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Have experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, or Argo CD.
• Have experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Have 10+ years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to infrastructure, cloud, automation, or software delivery.
• Have 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
• Have 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Architect, Cloud Architect, Platform Architect, or similar senior technical role.

Good to Have

• Prior experience in high-traffic, mission-critical production environments.
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or GDPR.
• Experience with cost optimisation and FinOps practices across cloud environments.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with database deployment automation, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high-availability design.
• Exposure to SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and reliability engineering.
• Experience working with CDN, WAF, edge security, traffic management, or API gateway solutions.
• Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and technical presentation skills.
