About the Role This role requires a seasoned Jira administrator to lead large-scale Jira Cloud migrations and consolidations, leveraging deep knowledge of Jira configuration and governance. The ideal candidate will have experience with Jira Cloud and Server/Data Center, as well as expertise in migrating third-party plugins and customizations. Success in this role will involve ensuring seamless migration and consolidation of Jira instances.

Key Responsibilities

Lead large-scale Jira Cloud migrations or multi-instance consolidations involving third-party plugins and customizations
Conduct plugin compatibility assessments and identify app alternatives
Reimplement server-side logic in Cloud
Convert ScriptRunner Groovy scripts to Jira Cloud-compatible solutions
Migrate JEMH (Jira Email Handler) or similar email-to-ticket solutions to Cloud
Utilize Atlassian migration tools (e.g., JCMA) for Cloud administration
Convert in-house Java plugins (Data Center) to Atlassian Forge development for Cloud

Requirements

Have 8+ years of hands-on Jira administration experience (Server/Data Center and Cloud)
Possess deep knowledge of Jira configuration, schemes, workflows, custom fields, permissions, and governance
Have experience leading at least one large-scale Jira Cloud migration or multi-instance consolidation
Have proven ability to convert ScriptRunner Groovy scripts to Jira Cloud-compatible solutions
Have experience with JEMH (Jira Email Handler) or similar email-to-ticket solutions
Have experience with Atlassian migration tools (e.g., JCMA) and Atlassian Cloud administration
Have experience converting in-house Java plugins (Data Center) to Atlassian Forge development for Cloud
