Automation Test Engineer (Python + Robot Framework) Bangalore · Full-time · Hybrid

About the Role ACL Digital is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation and Robot Framework. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable automation solutions, ensuring product quality, and collaborating across teams in a hybrid work environment. The role involves working closely with various teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python
  • Build and enhance automation frameworks using Robot Framework and/or Selenium
  • Execute automated test suites and analyze results for quality improvements
  • Perform API testing, UI automation, and basic database validations
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements
  • Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
  • Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines
  • Participate in test planning, strategy discussions, and test case reviews

Requirements

  • Automation Testing experience
  • Python Automation experience
  • Experience with Robot Framework
  • API Testing experience
  • Experience with Playwright

Good to Have

  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
