Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to design, build, and oversee scalable, cloud-native data platforms leveraging Snowflake technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Snowpark, Python, PySpark, and Big Data technologies, with proven experience in modernizing enterprise data ecosystems and migrating legacy Hadoop-based environments to Snowflake. The role requires hands-on architectural leadership, data warehouse design expertise, performance optimization capabilities, and the ability to guide technical teams in implementing enterprise-grade data solutions.

Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures using Snowflake. • Define and establish enterprise data warehouse blueprints, data models, and best practices. • Lead migration initiatives from Hadoop/Hive-based ecosystems to Snowflake cloud data platforms. • Architect and develop data transformation frameworks using Snowpark, Python, and PySpark. • Optimize Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, governance, and cost efficiency. • Design data ingestion, processing, and consumption frameworks for large-scale datasets. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Establish standards for data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, security, and metadata management. • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical mentoring for engineering teams. • Support cloud data modernization and digital transformation initiatives. Required Skills Snowflake • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Architecture and Administration • Data Warehouse Design and Data Modeling • Snowflake Security, Access Control, and Governance • Performance Tuning and Query Optimization • Virtual Warehouses, Clustering, Resource Monitoring Programming & Data Engineering • Strong proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience with PySpark • Experience with Snowpark for advanced data processing and transformation • Development of ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration frameworks Big Data Technologies • Hadoop Ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark) • Data Migration and Modernization Projects • Large-scale Data Processing and Optimization Cloud Platforms • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform • Cloud-native Data Architecture Design Preferred Qualifications • Experience leading enterprise-scale Snowflake implementations. • Hands-on experience in Hadoop-to-Snowflake migration projects. • Knowledge of Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Modern Data Platform architectures. • Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DataOps practices. • Snowflake certifications will be an added advantage. Desired Candidate Profile • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Architecture. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to drive technical architecture discussions and influence stakeholders. • Experience mentoring engineering teams and defining technical roadmaps. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
