Job description: Senior SAP Secruity Engineer We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior SAP Security Engineer to execute and manage security operations for an S/4HANA project. In this role, you will be deeply involved in system configuration, role building, Fiori authorization troubleshooting, and direct deployment of security policies across our SAP landscape.

Responsibilities

Build, configure, and test single, composite, and derived roles using PFCG for S/4HANA and ECC environments. Troubleshoot complex authorization issues daily using ST01, STAUTHTRACE, and SU53 to ensure uninterrupted business operations. Configure and maintain SAP Fiori security, including catalogs, groups, spaces, pages, and OData/ICF services. Execute SU24 maintenance to optimize authorization checks and reduce manual role interventions. Configure and manage SAP GRC Access Control (ARA, ARM, EAM) rulesets, mitigating controls, and firefighter IDs. Perform hands-on security activities during S/4HANA conversions, including SU25 upgrades and role remediation.

Technical Skills & Requirements

8+ years of hands-on technical experience in SAP Security, with active involvement in at least one S/4HANA implementation. Expert-level proficiency with SAP security transactions (PFCG, SU01, SU10, SU24, SU25) and trace tools. Deep, practical knowledge of SAP Fiori concept security (Spaces, Pages, Catalogs, App types). Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining SAP GRC 10.x/12.0 modules. Strong understanding of HANA DB security, including analytical privileges and user management. Hands-on experience with SAP BTP role collections and SAP Cloud Identity Services. Strong understanding of SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory compliance frameworks. Proven ability to analyze complex SAP authorization structures in S/4HANA. Hands-on experience with firefighter ID management and log review processes.

Nice to have

Ability to write or debug basic ABAP code for custom authorization objects. Active SAP Certified Technology Associate credential.
