Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and analytical FinOps Analyst with hands-on experience in Cloud Financial Management and Cost Optimization. In this role, you will lead cloud cost management initiatives, drive financial accountability across teams, and implement FinOps best practices. You will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to maximize business value from cloud investments while keeping expenditure optimized and controlled.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Cost Management & Optimization

Analyze cloud cost trends, drivers, and utilization patterns to identify optimization opportunities.

Recommend and execute resource rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, and waste reduction strategies.

Manage commitment-based discount programs, including Reserved Instances (RIs) and Savings Plans, to optimize cloud spend.

Monitor cloud spend continuously and set up real-time anomaly detection to prevent budget overruns.

1. Financial Allocation, Governance & Reporting

Maintain and improve cost allocation frameworks, including showback and chargeback/recharge models across departments.

Establish and enforce cloud governance policies to ensure financial discipline across cloud environments.

Lead cloud budgeting, forecasting, and regular variance analysis against targets.

Design and maintain clear, executive-ready dashboards and reports for spend visibility and financial forecasting.

1. Procurement, Invoicing & Vendor Management

Manage Cloud Purchase Orders (POs) and streamline cloud procurement processes using Coupa.

Perform cloud invoice validation, audit charges, and execute monthly reconciliation against Full Times and purchase orders.

Interface with vendor teams and cloud providers for billing inquiries, discount agreements, and cost reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Deep understanding of FinOps framework, cost allocation, cloud budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and rightsizing strategies.

Primary Tools:

Expertise in Apptio Cloudability for cloud spend visibility, reporting, budgeting, allocation, and optimization.

Proficiency with procurement and approval workflows in Coupa.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex functions, invoice reconciliation).

Vendor Experience: Strong background in managing spend, invoices, and commitment plans across major Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Communication: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and financial stakeholder
