Dreamforce 2026 brought seven job-ready Agentforce agents, AIforce, the Koa reasoning model and more. This recap sorts each announcement by availability status and says what admins, architects and business leaders should do next.

Dreamforce 2026 ran from 15 to 17 September 2026. Its Agentforce news falls into three groups. Six job-ready agents are generally available now. One agent, Hunter, is in pilot with general availability planned for November 2026. Several platform announcements, including AIforce and the Koa reasoning model, have no availability date on Salesforce's pages yet. This recap sorts each item by status and suggests what each role should do about it.

If you are new to the platform, start with what Agentforce is and how it works, then come back to this recap.

What Happened at Dreamforce 2026?

Dreamforce 2026 took place in San Francisco from 15 to 17 September 2026. Sessions were also streamed free on Salesforce+. As in 2024 and 2025, the event centred on Agentforce, Salesforce's platform for AI agents that act on CRM data instead of only answering questions.

The biggest change this year is in how the agents are packaged. Salesforce now sells named, ready-to-deploy agents for specific jobs, such as help desk, inbound lead handling and supply chain operations. Teams no longer have to assemble every agent from topics and actions. Around those agents, Salesforce announced platform work: a way for any AI interface to use Salesforce capabilities (AIforce), its own CRM reasoning model (Koa), and controls for governing agents across a company. Data Cloud now goes by Data 360, under the Agentforce 360 umbrella, as reported by Salesforce Ben.

Live, Pilot or Upcoming: Status Table

The table lists each announcement, what it does and its status as Salesforce states it. Where Salesforce's pages give no date, the table says so rather than guessing.

Update plan: we will revise this table when Hunter reaches general availability, which Salesforce plans for November 2026, and whenever Salesforce publishes a date for AIforce, Koa or Agentforce Coworker.

What Do the Seven Job-Ready Agents Do?

Salesforce announced the seven agents on 11 September 2026. The descriptions and customer results below come from Salesforce's announcement. The results are Salesforce-reported; Techila has not verified them.

Casey: help agent

Casey resolves customer service issues over voice, SMS, WhatsApp and web chat. It handles FAQs, returns and account management, and hands off to a human when needed. Salesforce reports that Engine's help agent fully resolves 50% of chat inquiries. Casey is the closest match to the service work covered in our guide to Agentforce for service teams.

Paige: IT and HR service agent

Paige answers employee requests in Slack, portals and other work tools. Salesforce reports that Autism Queensland resolves 70% of administrative requests with Paige.

Carter: shopper agent

Carter helps shoppers find and compare products, answers their questions and lets them check out in chat. Salesforce reports that Hibbett's shopper agent handles 90% of core shopper journeys and went live in six weeks.

Marshall: supply chain agent

Marshall runs end-to-end back-office supply chain processes, automates manual steps and logs every action, which gives operations and audit teams a record of what the agent did.

Piper: inbound lead agent

Piper engages, qualifies and converts leads that arrive through websites and inboxes. Salesforce reports that Asana saw 4x conversation volume with Piper, and that customers deploy Piper in 45 days on average.

Fin: customer agent

Fin handles complex customer experience workflows across all channels. Salesforce reports that Anthropic resolves 79% of the conversations Fin sees without a human.

Hunter: outbound sales agent (pilot)

Hunter works outbound pipeline from research to outreach and collaborates with sellers over weeks and months. Salesforce reports that Perk built 60% of its sales pipeline with Hunter. On its Dreamforce takeaways page, Salesforce also reports that Fulton Bank set up its first agent in one hour and had 3,000 employees using Agentforce six weeks later. Hunter is in pilot today. For how inbound and outbound agents split the work, see our guide to Agentforce for sales.

What Else Did Salesforce Announce?

AIforce opens Salesforce capabilities, including APIs, metadata, permissions and governance, to any AI tool, interface or agent, so users do not need to work in the Salesforce UI. Koa is Salesforce's first purpose-built CRM reasoning model. Salesforce quotes gains of 14%, 15% and 11% in context retention, answer relevance and tool-call precision. Those figures come from internal pilots measured against internal benchmarks, so treat them as early signals rather than results you should plan around.

The Dreamforce 2026 press list also covers Slackforce, Missionforce (with an OpenAI partnership), AgentExchange, the "trusted enterprise AI harness", partnerships with AWS and Google Cloud, Siemens engaging 100% of its inbound leads with Agentforce, and the Agentforce Coworker rollout at Adecco. The press list gives no general availability dates for these items.

What Should You Do Next? By Role

Salesforce admin

  • Check which of the six generally available agents matches a use case you already run, such as case handling, employee requests or inbound leads.
  • Audit the data the agent would read: completeness, duplicates and who owns each record.
  • Review permission sets and sharing rules for the user the agent would run as.

Salesforce architect

  • Map the systems each candidate agent must reach, and decide which data stays in Salesforce and which comes through Data 360 or integrations.
  • Plan how agent actions will be tested, logged and monitored before anything reaches customers.
  • Track AIforce and Koa, but do not design around them until Salesforce publishes availability.

Sales leader

  • Decide whether inbound (Piper, available now) or outbound (Hunter, in pilot) work is the bigger bottleneck.
  • Agree lead routing and ownership rules first: an agent follows them exactly, gaps included.
  • Set a baseline now, such as lead response time and meetings booked, so you can measure a pilot.

Service leader

  • List your highest-volume, lowest-risk contact reasons as candidates for Casey or Fin.
  • Define when the agent must hand over to a person, and what context the person receives.
  • Check that your knowledge articles are current, because the agent answers from them.

Questions to Ask Before Piloting an Agent

  • Which single, measurable job should the agent do first, and what does success look like?
  • Is the data the agent needs complete, current and accessible with the right permissions?
  • Who reviews the agent's actions during the pilot, and how will issues be escalated?
  • Is the agent you want generally available, or still in pilot?
  • What will the rollout need in time and budget? Our Agentforce cost calculator gives a first estimate of effort.

Our Agentforce readiness checklist goes through each of these questions in detail.

Next Steps

Dreamforce 2026 made Agentforce easier to start with: several agents now come ready for a specific job. The work that decides whether a pilot succeeds is still the same: clean data, sensible permissions and a clear first use case.
